Lobster, prawns, and spiny lobster are often considered delicacies for special occasions. So this smoked siracha mayonnaise and herb butter barbecue recipe is perfect for an amazing holiday feast.
Start by preparing the herb butter for your seafood. In a small bowl, combine the softened butter with the Maldon salt, cracked black pepper, chopped parsley, and cilantro. Set this mixture aside.
The best way to cook seafood is on a barbecue, but if you don’t have one, a grill will do. Heat the barbecue over medium-high heat and begin by grilling the lobster halves. Cook meat side down in the skillet until it turns pink and slightly blackens around the edges. It’s when the shell of the lobster also turns a pinkish-orange color that you know it’s ready. Do the same with the prawns and lobster, although they take less time to cook.
At the same time, why not roast some lemon to go with your seafood? Simply add them, cut side down, to the grill and let them cook and char a bit for 3 minutes.
Once the seafood is cooked, place it on a large serving platter and using a pastry brush, brush all over the meat with your delicious herb butter, letting it melt. Also place your grilled lemon on the serving plate.
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and siracha. Serve the mixture with the grilled seafood and enjoy!
